essential-social-icons-download

I have a pet peeve. Okay fine, I’ve got more than one of them. One in particular has to do with social media icons. It may be silly, but I just can’t stand seeing outdated social media icons. In an attempt to save the world from outdated social media icons I’ve created my own and you can download them for free!

Whether it’s a blog, business site, or just a cool infographic, one outdated social icon can totally ruin it for me. I can understand, though, that it’s not easy to stay on top with how often some of these sites change their icons. Twitter just recently changed theirs again (what’s this the 4th or 5th time?). Before that, StumbleUpon got a trendy new look that reinvented their brand colors (which I loved)!

For me, this is one of those small details that can communicate volumes about your digital presence. Staying on the cutting edge keeps you relevant, reinforces trust, and helps you achieve social media rockstar status. If you’re going to build and design a blog worth following it is essential that your social media links are both visible and current. That’s why I created this free icon set for you to download and use at your leisure.

envato-birthday-bundle

If you’re a freelancer, graphic artist, web designer, video editor, or even a do-it-yourselfer blogger looking for some high quality assets, this is an epic deal!

Envato is one of the biggest digital marketplace networks on the internet. They own at least 9 different online marketplaces where you can buy stock photos, video, audio, graphics, code, website templates, code snippets, plugins and more. They are a boss when it comes to premium digital assets. They also do a monthly free download for each of their sites if you’re a member.

Every now and then they will go absolutely bonkers and put together these bundles worth hundreds of dollars and sell them for cheap. I stumbled upon their most recent bundle yesterday– Envato is celebrating their 6th anniversary by giving away $500+ worth of themes, images, graphics, code, video, and audio files for only $20! This is insane! And it’s only available until Thursday!

If you’re a blogger that tries to do as much as you can yourself– you will definitely want to check this bundle out! You can view it by clicking here or read more details below.

Build Your Platform In 5 Steps Infographic

Build Your Platform In 5 Steps InfographicThis infographic is courtesy of Michael Hyatt. It takes you through the 5 steps of his new book Platform: Getting Noticed In A Noisy World [affiliate link]. As someone who loves infographics, and moreso creating them, I approve of this.

I bought the book last week and I’m eager to start reading through it. I’m already familar with some of these concepts as Michael talks about different aspects of them on his blog frequently. If you’re not familiar with his work, some of it might not connect with you. That’s okay! Feel free to comment below and ask me to clarify. I’m happy to help.

If you haven’t gotten the book yet, this will be a great introduction to it. And if you have bought the book already, this will be a great reminder of the concepts Michael talks about. Check it out:
