This week brought a close to the Official #JesusSwagger T-shirt, I discover what 4am looks like, and I realize that Apple products… aren’t perfect! (*Gasp*!)

I am excited to start shipping out all the orders at the end of the week! To see this creation come to life is a real joy. Thank you to everyone who ordered one, and I can’t wait to see the photos of you rocking them!

Waking up at an unholy hour

Being a husband and father is a lot of work. And when I say “work”, I mean “a huge privilege and crazy fun”! I love every minute of it.

However, it’s not always easy to get things done while everyone is awake. So, thanks to my good friend Byron Davis, I’ve adopted an early morning “Get Things Done” schedule. Instead of waking up 2 hours before I have to be at work, I am now waking up more than 4 hours before I have to be there. For that 4 hours I can work distraction free, and focus my efforts for a higher level of efficiency.

I’ll be the first one to tell you, I’m not a morning person. I am like a grizzly bear in the morning. But this was a necessary move for both my business and my family. It’s a sacrifice I happily make, so that when I get home from work in the afternoon, I don’t have to go straight to business.

Please pray with me that I might keep it up!

So Apple computers aren’t perfect?

Yup, turns out they’re not. My iMac has been having trouble staying connected to the internet. For someone who’s entire freelance business is online, that is definitely not a good thing. Say it ain’t so, Apple! Say it ain’t so!

Just kidding. I’m not one of those fanatics that things Apple can do no wrong. I was well aware that they were imperfect machines. I just kinda hoped that mine would be a little less imperfect I guess.

Unfortunately I had a few blog posts drafted that I hadn’t synced to Evernote yet– particularly one that I wanted to publish yesterday titled “Stop Inviting People To Church”. I hope the genius’ at the Apple store can diagnose my iMac quickly. It’s killing me to have to revert back to my Dell Laptop. If I were to even attempt to install some of my web design tools and software onto this thing it would literally explode.

This week should be an interesting one– especially as I try to wrap a bunch of things up in preparation for a big trip to Pennsylvania at the beginning of August!

  1. Dustin,

I REALLY love the TV blurby thingie (I’m pretty sure that’s the technical term)) at the beginning and end of your videos. Very cool, very professional, very big time looking–and sounding. Yeah, the little noise that goes along with the visual is perfect.

Just wanted to let you know you have a TV Blurby Thingie Fan out here!
