Jesus: #YouMoveMe

Today over on Google+ social phenomenon Daria Musk started a hashtag trend– #YouMoveMe. The idea is to post a picture or video that represents something that moves you. Call me predictable, but there was only one thing that came to my mind when I decided to participate– Jesus.

The hashtag almost immediately started to climb the ‘Trending’ charts. It was nipping at American Idol’s heels for a while before jumping past it into the #4 spot. The number one trend today (as with most Sunday’s) is the hashtag #SacredSunday. As I see it, today was the perfect day for this #YouMoveMe trend to start. So I went to work right away creating the graphic you see above.

Why Jesus Moves Me

He moves me to be compassionate towards others, because he had compassion for me. He moves me to give grace to others, because he had grace on me. He moves me to empower others, because he empowered me. He moves me to give to others because he continues to give to me. He moves me to love others, because he first loved me.

Jesus, you move me.

Loving me when I can’t love myself. Forgiving me when I can’t forgive myself. Believing in me when I can’t believe in myself. Rooting for me when nobody else will. Comforting me when nobody else can. Giving me purpose, hope, and worth beyond words. Paying the ultimate price, so I could gain the ultimate prize.

Although I don’t always move in the right direction, you’re always there to put me back on the path. Even when I sometimes move against you, you’re always there waiting when I turn back around. No judgement in your eyes, just endless amazing grace.

Since I seem to love making wallpapers out of hashtags, I thought I’d do one for this piece of artwork I created. You can download them for your desktop, iPhone (or other smart phone– I don’t discriminate), iPad, or tablet via the links below:

And to take it even further, I’m going to go ahead and let you download the full .PSD that I used to create all these different versions. For all you graphic designers, or casual Photoshop junkies out there– have fun!

  1. I think it is great to share this – thanks ! So many times we get caught up in what we want from God or don’t feel we got something we deserved. I love the #YouMoveMe to get us going on how he moves in our lives all the time and “share” it !! :-)

  2. Love it Dustn! I’m tweeting this baby …
