If you can’t make it out to R12, you’re in luck! You can follow along with the conference happenings and maybe even participate from home!
I’m super excited to be covering the Resurgence Conference 2012! I was blessed to be given a press pass for the event and I won’t be taking that lightly. For those of you who can’t make it out, I wanted to let you know a few ways that you could follow the conference from the comfort of home (or work– I won’t tell anyone).
The official conference hashtag is #R12 and people are already generating a good amount of buzz. Do a quick Twitter search and find a few interesting people to follow. One in particular is this guy– shameless, I know.
If you really want to take it a step further and get conference updates in real-time, you can use the Twitter app on your iPhone or Android smart phone to activate push notifications for certain users. Here’s how you do that:
- Go to a users profile.
- Click on the little profile icon.
- Select “Turn on notifications”.
- Hit “Ok”.
This will send you a push notification every time that user tweets. For some of you, that may sound a little annoying, but I can tell you first hand– it’s pretty exciting! Though I will admit, it can be a bit distracting at times.
I did this for the Catalyst Conference last week. I followed a small handful of users who I knew would be tweeting about the conference. As a result I was able to participate in the conversations in real-time and ended up gaining a good amount of followers because of it. Not to mention I was able to connect with some new friends. It was a great experience.
Now, for those of you who do follow me and don’t want to be bombarded with mass amounts of #R12 tweets, you may want to use Muuter.com to temporarily hide me from your stream. I won’t be offended.

Live Blog Notes – RAW
After each session I will be posting my notes from each speaker here on dustn.tv. They will be raw, uncut notes just the way I record them. They will mostly be quotes with as many side thoughts as I can fit in.
At the end of each day I’ll be posting a more organized summary and/or response to each speaker over at ChurchMag.
