I decided to ask my circles over on Google+ what their favorite feature of the new social network was. I got a good amount of responses (and actually I’m still getting them). However, the results were a little different that what I expected.
My first attempt at an infographic.
After gathering a good amount of votes, I decided to create an infographic for the results. It’s actually the first infographic I’ve ever created! I was pretty excited about it, so I wanted to share it with my readers here, and give you all the chance to chime in as well.
You can read the original post over at GPlusTuts.com where there is an active poll still happening.
If you’re not on Google+ yet, you might want to check out this post I wrote a little while back. And be sure to circle me once you’ve joined up! If you’re already signed in to Google+, you can +1 and add my Google+ Page from my sidebar here on the right (just above the “search” bar.)
I’ll soon be writing about how and why I believe Google+ has changed the game for social media. But until then, go check it out for yourself, and if you have any questions, those awesome folks over at GPlusTuts are just as happy as I am to answer your questions! (And in case you didn’t know, I’m one of those awesome guys that founded the site
.)
What, in your opinion is the best thing about Google+? Is there anything you don’t like about it? You can leave a comment by clicking here.

Honestly, I like the lack of advertisements in Google+. Some of the stuff that pops up in Facebook is just out of taste and even inappropriate at times.
Agreed… most of the time I don’t mind it, but it’s definitely a plus to not have any ads.
Yeah… That’s what I hear from a lot of people.
The question is how long will it be before Google starts to market to you through the newsfeed or a similar ad side bar to Facebook. Twitter has already started it and I bet Google is just pushing it off until they feel secure that they will not have a mass exodus.
Thats the thing about Google, they dont strongneed/strong to worry about selling ad space… They can take their time to just build the platform for years before they even think about it.
I agree with Jon – the lack of ads is a HUGE plus (pun intended!), though to be honest I don’t see many ads since I use Google Chrome with Adblock Plus as my main browser.
Thats one way to do it Roger! Haha!
I am not on google plus, but I know a little bit about it…
Hey Dustin,
I’m absolutely loving the Infographic! GREAT design!
I’m not on google+ so far… Most my friends aren’t on there or even talk about it and I feel like I’m already pretty busy with all the other major platforms (+ I’m just getting started with social bookmarking sites and forums…)
How much traffic to your blog do you get from Google+?
Google+ is now my #1 referrer… far surpassing Twitter Facebook. If youre not on it, you need to get on it. Those who capitalize early are always the most successful. See my most recent commentary: http://GPlusTuts.com/search-plus-your-world
Seriously, you will regret procrastinating on this one.
I don’t hang out much on G+ but I do like the Circles concept. I like that it is a decent combination of Twitter and Facebook. That said, Everyone I know is on Facebook so the likelyhood that I will make the jump to G+ is unlikely. I don’t see G+ taking over the market enough to boot Facebook especailly when most of the friends and family I connect with like things that G+ is pretty much stay clear of.
Yeah, thats what all the MySpacers said too… Seems like nobody has learned lol!
With Googles newest Search innovation theyve started the domination countdown.
I haven’t looked into Google+. I’m pretty satisfied with Facebook. That’s one thing about our culture, we’re hardly satisfied. We’re always looking for that next fix. It was Friendster then Myspace then Facebook then Google+ (if Dustin’s prediction hold true)! We’ll see if Google+ can reach the “tipping point” to take down FB.
In two years, just you wait. You can call me a voice crying out in the wilderness. And like a broken record I will continue to advise people that those who have the vision to get in before everyone else will reap the most rewards. That is, if youre looking to build an online presence, do business, or network.
If you only go online to check up on friends and watch cat videos, dont even worry about it.
I think the most interesting feature of Google+ is its integration with Google. I type in a search and people who have shared it are always popping up. I’m not sold out on Google+ becoming the next big thing, but I certainly wouldn’t be surprised if it happened.
Well I am definitely sold. Have you read up on Googles new search plus your world?
Well you should definitely get to know it better! By the time you get on Twitter, Google+ will have taken over! Lol
